Nice! I just found a couple shots of my gramps circa 1944, mostly around New Guinea. He miraculously made it through most of his tour unscathed (by enemy fire...but two bouts of malaria almost killed him). Third pic is the crew’s pet monkey.

For some reason in  my brain, I thought PT boats were much smaller. I mean, I guess they do pack some pretty big engines.

I got to go aboard PT 658 last year at a car/boat show in Portland. Its pretty amazing that it was restored and run on nothing but donations.
